- September 16, 2026 Correction — An earlier version said the claim that price increases were “caused by Sleepy Joe Biden” had “a real foundation,” then supported that only with the facts that inflation peaked during Biden’s term and that Trump inherited an elevated price level. Those establish sequence and level, not causation. The section now separates the two and shows that presidential causation fails in both directions: the larger pandemic stimulus was signed by Trump, and the euro area (10.6%) and UK (11.1%) peaked above the US without either bill.

- September 5, 2026 Correction — This piece originally gave the Minab toll as 156 killed including 120 schoolchildren, stated as settled fact. Published counts do not agree: totals range from roughly 140 to 175 depending on the source, and the original text was internally inconsistent, since 120 children plus 26 teachers and 4 parents sums to 150 rather than 156. The figures are now given as ranges. The Mostly True verdict is unchanged, but its basis is corrected: “160+” is within the plausible range for the total dead, so the claim’s error is calling them all schoolchildren rather than the scale of the number.
